Black Music Legends Club Event Key Visual Design

Black Music Legends Club was a 2-day lecture covering different topics about Black Music, organised by Hong Kong Jazz Academy and hosted by Dr. Chi Chung Wong and Alan Kwan. To extract the unifying quality and connective symbolic meanings of black music culture, the design concepts themed at the visualisation of crossing the borders and expressing the roots of black culture.

A customised logotype is created for the event name Black Music Legends Club based on the spiritual features of black music - bold, transformative, energetic, funky and expressive. The logotype is developed based on the visual features of the 70s. 

Strokes from the logotype are further deconstructed into visual elements and spread around the visual, forming a dynamic unifying composition, along with freestyle rhythmical lines to create a harmonious and groovy key visual.
